Maasai Village Visit (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
Begin your visit with your Maasai-speaking guide through a traditional Maasai village.
Learn about Maasai traditions, lifestyle, and their strong connection to nature and cattle.
Watch and participate in a Maasai dance or singing ceremony, a beautiful display of their cultural heritage.
Explore Maasai homes (enkang), where you’ll see how the locals live, sleep, and work.
Learn about the importance of cattle in Maasai culture and their way of life as nomadic pastoralists.
Longido Market and Crafts (12:00 PM – 1:00 PM)
Visit the Longido Market, which is vibrant and filled with local products, handicrafts, and Maasai souvenirs.
Purchase traditional Maasai crafts such as jewelry, beaded items, and hand-woven baskets.
Experience the lively atmosphere of the market and interact with the friendly locals.
Traditional Maasai Lunch (1:00 PM – 2:00 PM)
Enjoy a traditional Maasai lunch, which may include dishes such as nyama choma (grilled meat), ugali (maize porridge), and fermented milk.
Savor authentic Maasai food at a local restaurant or in the village.
Afternoon Exploration (2:00 PM – 3:30 PM)
After lunch, take a short nature walk or explore the local landscapes around Mount Longido.
Enjoy spectacular views of the mountain, and learn about the significance of the area to the Maasai people and their ancestors.
Depending on your interests, you can visit nearby hills or cultural sites to get more insight into Maasai culture.
Return to Arusha (3:30 PM – 5:30 PM)
Depart Longido and drive back to Arusha and drop-off at your hotel.
