3 Days Nyerere National Park Safari from Dar es Salaam

A short Nyerere National Park safari from Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar Island — the best affordable southern Tanzania safari. Itinerary

Early morning pick-up from your hotel/lodge in Dar es Salaam and departure for Nyerere National Park. Arrive at the lodge for a hot lunch, then an afternoon game drive.

Meals: Lunch, Dinner Stay: Mapumziko Lodge or similar

Depart the lodge around 06:30 with a breakfast box for an early morning game drive across the vast park. Break for breakfast in the bush and continue game viewing until late morning, returning for hot lunch and rest before a breathtaking boat trip on the Rufiji River. After sunset, return to shore and drive back to the lodge for dinner, campfire and overnight.

Early morning guided nature walk led by a local bushman along the park boundary and through the village, then back to the lodge for full breakfast before starting the drive to Dar es Salaam. Arrive in the late afternoon and drop off at your lodge or at Dar es Salaam international airport.
